GOD OF PEACE CAME TO EARTH!

Today is the second Sunday in Advent!

As we celebrate this season of Advent let us remember the announcement that was made by the angels proclaiming His birth!

On a dark night, near Bethlehem of Judea, God sent an angel with this announcement of Good News!

The moment had arrived. Heaven had turned things upside down. God had come down to live with men and women.

We’re told that the one angel was suddenly joined by, a multitude of heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth PEACE, good will toward men. (Luke 2: 13, 14)

Why He had to bring Peace on Earth? The earth lost it’s peace since the day sin tainted God’s perfection in the garden. Gone was the joy that had filled Eden’s perfect home. Gone was the laughter and peace.

And then our Father responded. As He had warned, there were consequences to the toxin of sin. But God’s promise was beyond anyone could ever imagine that the head of evil would be crushed.

What? How?? His solution seemed too good to be true, for He promised that He Himself would come to earth to bring ATONEMENT, to bring harmony and peace to us again!

And now, there is Good News! When Jesus came to earth, fear was replaced by peace and good, what was cursed was replaced with hope, and what was lost was redeemed.

The good news is that when you are least loveable God says, I love you!
When you are least worthy, God says you are forgiven!
When you are most unattractive and most undeserving God says you are mine!

Trust Him! He will replace all your fears with PEACE that’s beyond all understanding!
