If someone ask me to write a few words to describe my heavenly Father, how would I express about Him????
I am sure David thought like me when he wrote Psalm 23 where he calls The Lord as his Shepherd. David makes it clear that in his life, the God of heaven and earth is his Lord.
But to better understand the word ‘Lord’ as used in Psalm 23: 1, I quickly looked into my Hebrew dictionary and found that the specific word David used, Yehovah means self-existent and eternal.
Awesome! And do you know that this title appears over 6,500 times in the Old Testament, repeatedly used by prophets, priests, and kings and over 700 times in just the Psalms alone.
What touches me is the way our Lord, Jehovah, throughout the Old Testament,
{Isa 40 and Eze 34 ) calls Himself our Shepherd. He makes sure that every sheep in His pasture, is held within His eternal love.
“The Lord, My Shepherd,” revealed in Psalm 23, is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and is also evidenced in the life of Jesus Christ as the perfect representation of God.
His Son Jesus Christ came to earth, to show us what our Father in heaven is like. Jesus told His’ disciple Philip, “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14: 9 ). Jesus gives us a picture of our Father’s greatest love in His life on this earth!
“O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker in reverent praise and supplication. For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.” (Psalm 95: 6, 7)
When we acknowledge Him as our Lord and Shepherd, we shall be directed, supplied, protected, corrected, and rewarded! Do not panic! Simply wait upon Him for THE LORD IS OUR SHEPHERD!

Dear Brothers and Sisters!
All glory and Praise to the Lord almighty who has chosen me for eternity and loves me with an unconditional love.
This is my humble writing of what I learn personally from the Lord every day to glorify His Name.
I went to a Biblical Seminary in 1978 and from there began a long journey of Christian Ministry among the students and young people and later to the rural and poor.
I began this Rajavinmalargal in 2009 keeping women in mind as I began to study on the women mentioned in the Bible. But the feedback from brothers around the world made me to change it as Family Devotional.
Thank all of you around the world who visit the site. God bless you and reveal His very presence to you as you study the Word of God!
